SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Q: How much is standard Australian shipping?

A: $10 flat rate.

DISTILLERY TOURS & TASTINGS

Q: Can I do a tour of Tara Distillery?

A: Yes, we offer distillery tours which include a tasting of our spirits. Booking are essential but last minute bookings are welcome when available.

Distillery Tours: Tours run Tuesday to Friday & Sundays at 11am and 1pm. Saturdays run at 11am, 1pm, 3pm.  Each tour runs for approximately 40 minutes and takes you through all aspects of our gin and whiskey making.  Book a Distillery Tour here.

Q: Do you offer group bookings?

A: Yes, we can cater to small groups for up to 12 people.  Please get in touch with a requested date and how many guests.

Q: Are children allowed at the distillery?
A: Yes, children are welcome at the distillery.  As we are a working distillery on a rural property, we kindly ask that children are supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.  There's plenty of open space to explore, along with neighbouring cattle, sheep, horses, kangaroos, and donkeys to spot during your visit. Please also take care around the dam and other rural areas on the property.

Q: Do I need to wear closed-toe shoes?
A: Yes, closed-toe shoes are required for safety as we operate in a working distillery.

Q: Are pets allowed?
A: Yes! We are pet-friendly. Lochie, our distillery dog often comes out to greet guests upon arrival.  We are a rural property so there is plenty of room for dogs to run around.

Q: What if I can't make a booked tour or tasting anymore and need to cancel?
A: We will always try our hardest to ensure that you are refunded if you have to cancel within reason.  Please contact ben@taradistillery.com.au if you can't make an existing booking and need to cancel.

Q: What if I want to buy a bottle of Tara but don't have time for a tour or tasting?

A: Yes, you are welcome at our cellar door during opening hours, Tuesday to Friday 11am to 2pm, Saturdays 11am to 4pm, and Sundays 11am to 2pm.   Alternatively, we are stocked locally in retail liquor stores, please see our stockists here.  Or we also attend local markets on weekends, see our upcoming market dates here.

Q: Where can I buy Tara Distillery Gin, Whiskey, Poitín, Vodka, and Liqueurs?
A: You can buy our spirits directly from our website, at the distillery in Nowra Hill, at local markets, at bars and restaurants across the country and we also have a range of retail stockists across Australia.

Q: Do you provide corporate gifts for employees, sporting groups, Australian Defence Force, community groups or friend group?
A: Yes, we have partnered with businesses, sporting clubs, ADF units, community organisations, and social groups to create boutique personalised bottle gifts.  Our customised gifting options include premium gin, whiskey, and liqueur selections, making them ideal for employee rewards, celebrations, events, and special occasions. 

PRIVATE CASKS

Q: Do you offer private casks?

A: Yes, we offer a unique opportunity to acquire ownership of a one-off batch of extraordinary Australian Whiskey.  We offer a limited number of private whiskey casks each year with your choice of Single Pot Still or Single Malt whiskey.  Choose your mash bill, cask type, and cask size.
